Kirchlauter Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess, above Argent a fleur-de-lis Gules, beneath Azure a heraldic rose Or seeded and barbed Argent.
Meaning:
The rose is taken from the arms of the Barons of Guttenberg, who gained some estates as vassals of the Bishopric of Würzburg. They ruled the village since 1520 and had been reeves until 1802. Bishop Johann Gottfried of Guttenberg (1686 – 1698) rebuilt the local castle in 1689. The fleur-de-lis is an attribute of St. Mary, the local patron saint. The basic tinctures are also alluding to the bishopric.
