Klötze Coat of Arms

Shield Argent, an eradicated oak stump Vert with fresh leaves of the same.
Meaning:
The city's name is of Slavian origin, meaning stump, derived from the word "clada". The arms are thus canting. The current arms exist since 1861 and were in use by common law. Until 2001 the stump had been depicted proper, i.e. with a brown stem.
