Affing Coat of Arms

Shield Azure an unicorn rampant Argent issuant from a rock of the same.
Meaning:
Meaning: The village adopted the family arms of the Barons of Gravenreuth with permission of the kin. In the 12th and 13th ccentury the village was ruled by the Lords of Affing. After the kin had died out, the local rulers of castle and lordship changed frequently. In 1816 the barons acquired castle and local cognisance from Count Maximilian Anton of Leyden.
