Coat of Arms

Shield Gules parted by a bend wavy Or; in sinister chief a coronet Argent with gemstones Vert, Azure and Gules; in dexter base a 6-spokes wheel Argent.
Meaning:
The wheel displays the arms of the Archbishopric of Mainz, which acquired the region around Aschaffenburg in the late 10th century. Goldbach had been a dominion of the German Kings and Dukes of Franken, represented by the coronet. The tinctures red and yellow had been those of the arms of the Counts of Rieneck. The golden bend wavy is a canting element, representing a golden creek (German: goldener Bach).
