Presentation of Serdarlı

The municipality of Serdarlı (Greek, Τζιάος; 2;411 inhabitants in 2011) is located north of Famagusta.
By the 2016-2018 administrative reform, the municipality of Serdarlı should be incorporated in 2018 into the municipality of Kuzey Mesarya (Northern Mesaoria).

Flag of Serdarlı

The flag of Serdarlı (photo) is white with the municipality's emblem in the center. "Belediyesi" means "Municipality".
The emblem features a prickly pear / Barbary fig, Opuntia ficus-indica (L.) Mill., a species of cactus of Mexican origin that has been domesticated in several arid areas of the world for its edible fruits.
