In the right part of the shield, the three colored ribbons symbolize the merger of the three former municipalities. The blue ribbon that wraps the "P" is "S"-shaped to form the initials of Saint-Paulin.

In chief, the raising bird symbolizes communication and expansion in the environment.

In the left part, the cog wheel, the farm and the waves represent ever evolving industry, progressing agriculture, and the existing watercourses, respectively.

Yellow is a symbol of faith.
Blue is a symbol of power and joy.
Green is a symbol of hope, serenity and plenty.
Red is a symbol of business spirit and union.
White is a symbol of accessibility.

The arms are complemented by the French motto "Fierté et amitié", "Pride and Friendship".
