The coat of arms of Saint-Jacques-de-Leeds reflects the history of the people it represents. The coat of arms is composed of four symbolic elements. The environment is symbolized by mountains and large green spaces. The tribute to our predecessors and their current continuity is symbolized by the sheaf of wheat, the maple leaf and wood, all past and present economic cultures of our municipality. Reflection of agriculture, maple syrup production and forest products. The pride of being part of the flowery towns and villages of Quebec is symbolized by the flower. Love and hard work are symbolized by a heart crossed with a pick and shovel attached to a ladder, topped with a cornucopia. Reflecting our values of unity, sticking together, progressing in abundance and success today, tomorrow and always. Saint-Jacques-de-Leeds over the whole symbolizes our municipality supported by solid convictions that have existed for years and will continue to prevail as long as the citizens support them by letting the blood of their offspring flow through their veins who will take over the continuity.
