The coat of arms of Petrovo (image), adopted on 20 February 1998 (Wikipedia), is prescribed in Article 7 of the Municipal Statutes as follows:

The municipality has a coat of arms that is the symbol of the municipality.
The coat of arms has the following contents and meaning:
- The shield with a ribbon in Serbian tricolour with the name of the municipality, above which is in the top part inscribed the head of a double-headed eagle with a crown, as part of the coat of arms of Republika Srpska;
- In the shield of the coat of arms is depicted the "St. Nicolas" monastery at Mount Ozren under which is a ribbon in the Serbian tricolour inscribed "Ozren the land of the Nemanić [dynasty]", which highlights affiliation to the founders of the first Serbian state and existence and endurance of the Serb people at Ozren;
- In the bottom part of the shield are depicted characteristics of the municipal area, that is: the slopes of Ozren, woods, mineral wealth, thermo-mineral waters and other natural richnesses, as well as wheat ears as a symbol of attachment of the population of the municipality to crop production.
The coat of arms of the municipality may be used as a protected symbol on letterheads and other inscriptions of the municipality.
The use of the coat of arms as the municipal symbol shall be further determined by a Decision of the Municipal Assembly.

The Populari database shows a quite different image that more or less matches the basic requirements of the description.
