Description

I have seen only a single image of this unusual State Government-badged Australian Blue Ensign. The badge is a small oval one placed within a Southern Cross that has the Epsilon Star moved outward slightly. It has a full-colour St Edwards Crown over a gold-edged oval white garter, with gold letters MBL sitting upright on the white of the garter belt (M on the hoist side, B at the top and L on the fly side). Within the garter on the blue field is an upright gold Admiralty foul anchor. It seems that this flag went out of use circa 1968.
