The flag of Tinogasta was designed by high school students of Copacabana and presented officially on August 17, 2017. This was done to commemorate the Crossing of the Andes, which happened 200 years earlier. The municipal coat of arms is simplified in the flag, displaying a sun, mountain range, and a stylized cluster of grapes.
