Source: [el1897] - This flag chart in the inner part
shows a map of river Elbe around Hamburg, flanked by a map of Helgoland and
house flags of mostly German companies. In the outer part are all merchant
ensigns and at the bottom are images of merchant sailing ships and some
light-fires. At the bottom is an inscription: “Gratis Beilage zu Deicken und
Behrmann’s Neuen Monatsheften Neue Ausgabe Sommer 1897“ (transl: free appendix
to D&B's New Monthlies, new edition summer 1897), a periodical probably not
published every month but four times a year.
