Flag adopted on 12 September 1995. The contemporary flag of Voronezh city is white with the coat of arms of the city (with golden ears and mural crown) in the center. The width of the coat of arms is about 1/3 of flag length. Ratio 1:2.

The coat of arms of the city is a bit different from the coat of arms of the region by the fact that it bears a mural crown and the branches around the coat of arms are slightly different (see the official city website).
