Blazon: I grønt en oppflygende sølv svane. In English: Vert a swan argent rousant.
Approved by the royal resolution of 26 January 1990
According to http://ngw.nl/heraldrywiki/index.php?title=H%C3%B8ylandet the reason for the design is "as every year a large number of whooping swans migrates through the village."
