Canchungo is the seat of its namesake sector, one of the six of
Cachéu Region. It was was officially known as Teixeira
Pinto until 1975. I could not find any data about its current flag
use.

Teixeira Pinto was granted a Portuguese-style
municipal coat of arms and flag in the 1960s. In
Wikimedia
Commons, where the quartered background of the flag was clumsily
“cleaned up”, uploader Emerson states that this flag
«may be still in use». Based on what I know of Portuguese
former colonies’ municipal flags, I’d say that is highly
unlikely.

The flag was quartered (town rank) yellow
and red with the coat of arms on the center.
