and a closer look on the one you sent, the
field of the flag is rather divided quarterly white (lower hoist and upper fly)
and light olive green (upper hoist and lower fly) with the emblem in the center.

According to
this
off-topic blogpost in an anonymous foodie weblog, the municipal
emblems of São Miguel and São
Lourenço dos Órgãos were both created by the
same designer (the anonymous foodie herself), the former selected by a
competition.
