SENIOR PATROL LEADER ELECTIONS SPL elections will take place on July 18th. If you plan to run for SPL, please have your speech ready to deliver. The new SPL will be announced at the Court of Honor. PATROL LEADER COUNCIL MEETINGS The next PLC meeting is on September 14th at 7pm at the Church. All patrol leaders should plan to attend. If you are unable to attend, be sure to get your assistant patrol leader to fill in for you COURT OF HONOR Our next Court of Honor will take place on July 25th at the church. Please arrive at 6:30PM. The boys will receive the merit badges we have been working on as a troop as well as those they earned at summer camp. We will also say goodbye to our departing SPL, Garret Bierman and ASPLs, Andrew Francis and Bradley Natarian and welcome our new SPL. EACH FAMILY IS ASKED TO BRING A DESSERT, FRUIT, OR CHESSE TRAY TO SHARE. The troop will have a slide show of pictures to present to the parents. UPCOMING EVENTS July 18th-Troop Meeting July 20th to 22nd-Carnival Tarps July 25th-Court of Honor July 28th to August 5th-Penny Pitch August 6 & 7-Carnival Breakdown August 8th -Troop and Committee Meeting August 29th-Bike Trip Money and Permission Slip due UPCOMNG FUNDRAISERS Bass Pro August 5, 6, 12, 13 These are the next dates available for working at Bass Pro. A sign-up sheet is posted on the bulletin board. CARNIVAL The more hours you devote, the more money you make for your account. We will put the tarps on the stands on July 20th, 21st, and 22nd. The final stage is carnival breakdown. It will be on August 6th and 7th. We will again be running the Penny Pitch during the carnival. The carnival runs from July 28th through August 5th. There will be no shift work this year. When you sign up to help at the Penny Pitch for a night, you will be there for the entire time. A sign up sheet is on the bulletin board. PARENTS WE NEED YOU TO SIGN UP FOR THIS ALSO. CAMPING REMINDERS Leaders need to make sure they let Rie know if they are attending a campout just like the boys do. Transportation and food can’t be figured out until we know exactly how many people (not just boys) are coming. There will be no campout in August. Our next campout is the Bike Trip on September 22-24. Money and permission slips are due on August 29th. Also mark your calendars for the caving trip on October 13-15. Money and permission slips for this trip are due September 12th. MOTHER’S NECKLACES Mother’s necklaces are now available from Tammy. The cost is $7 each. If you’re not sure what they are, they are ribbon necklaces with Cub Scout blue and gold on one half and Boy Scout green and red on the other half. The necklace is for putting your mother’s pins you’ve received for your son’s advancements. This is a very lovely way to display all of those pins. THERE WILL BE NO MEETINGS ON AUGUST 1ST AND 15th. Please make a note as this is different than what your calendar states. |
