"The rectangular panel consisting of two horizontal strips, green and black, divided by a broken line in the ratio 2:1. The district was founded in January, 1940."

From the site of Ukrainian Heraldry:
"It was confirmed in July, 29th, 2009 by the decision #319 of XIX region council session of V convocation. Per fess abaised by broken in three fractures barrulet or on vert and sable; in the top field is honeycombs formed by fillet or, in central comb azure are mural gate argent with three towers. The gate and windows sable are open, roofs are gules. Over the steeple of each tower is volant goose to the dexter side. In the bottom field are ears and saber edge down or in saltire. The shield enframed by or cartouche and crowned by or region crown. The author is S.Tkachov.
Vert is symbol of riches, generosity and well-being of the land on which is the region. It also symbolises natural reserve "Medobory". Sable symbolises fertility lands. The saber and ears symbolise work of the farmers and a Cossack victory. Honeycombs symbolise diligence of region inhabitants and "Medobory" name ("Med" means "honey") <husyatyn.te.ua>."
