Two of the three communes of Vila de Rei
Municipality have adopted arms and flags:
Vila de Rei and Fundada;
São João do Peso has not, according to Sérgio Horta’s
website.

It is a fairly typical portuguese communal flag,
with the coat of arms centered on a
plain yellow background. The banner should have golden
and red tassels and cord, and golden pole and spear finial. Flag and arms
adopted and published in the official journal

The arms are Gules semy of pine twigs Or each with its cone a two-arch bridge Argent masoned Sable issuant from a base wavy Argent chages with a bar wavy Azure. Mural crown argent with three visible towers (commune rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "Fundada". Original blazon:
Escudo de vermelho, semeado de ramos de pinheiro com uma pinha, de ouro, com uma ponte de dois arcos de prata, lavrada de negro, movente dos flancos e de campanha ondada, de prata e azul de três pés.
