Coat of arms

Shield Vert, two triplets of corn cobs Or tied Gules, in chief a mitre Argent decorated Gules. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "SOALH√ES".
Meaning:
The mitre is an attribute of St. Martin, the local patron saint.
