About the Flag

It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain white field.

Shield Vert, a wine press Or emphasized Sable and accompanied by two olive branches Argent fruited Or with the tips of its trunks per saltire, in chief a Holy Ghost dove displayed Argent armed and langued and with eyes Gules and nimbed Or. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "LOMBO".
Meaning:
"Lombo", means "loin" (butchery) or "back" (anatomy); the arms are not canting for either meaning (poultry cuts don’t include a lombo, even in fowl bigger than the dove).

Presentation of Lombo

Lombo Commune is one of the 30 communes of Macedo de Cavaleiros Municipality; it had 346 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 14.5 km².
