Background

Taita Taveta County is located in southern Kenya on the border with Tanzania with the capital at Mwatate.  In  2007, the former Taita Taveta District was spilt into two districts, the Taita District and the Taveta District.  Subsequently these have been re-united to form the Taita Taverta County.

Description of the flag

The County flag is divided diagonally into orange and light green, separated by a white fimbriation. An unembellished version of the county emblem is placed in the centre of the flag, surrounded by a white circle.
