In 1609, he succeeded to the governor's title and was given 90,000 goku in Obama, Wakasa Province and Takashima, Omi Province. He participated in the Battle of Osaka on the Tokugawa side and was awarded 20,000 goku in Tsuruga, Echizen Province, and 260,000 goku in Izumo and Oki Provinces. The war banner has red background with four white Meyuis.
