The city emblem and the flag were adopted on Nov 7th 2005 by Notice No 1 and 2. The white flag has a blue and a green two color city emblem in the center. The city emblem is a stylized kanji 紀 Ki of Kinokawa. The blue color stands for a stream of Kino River and a clear sky, the green color for a rich nature. It represents an image of the comfortable city expanding an interchange from the center. The flag proportion is 2:3.
