The village emblem was adopted on Oct 21st 1967 by Ordinance No 3 and the flag was adopted on Sep30th 1956 by Notice No 30. The blue flag has a white village emblem in the center. The villege emblem is a stylized katakana ハク Haku of Hakuba. It represents a range of peaks of Mt. Hakuba and the villagers reconciliation. The circle symbolizes a development of the village. The flag proportion is 2:3.
