In today tourism section of the daily "Yediot
Akhronot" there is a photo of one of Piedmont towns
(probably Casale Monferrato) from which we can see that the town flag is in a shape of
horizontal 3 tails gonfalone (r-y-r-y-r horizontal with emblem on
yellow disc in the center.

Casale Monferrato is in Alessandria province, Piedmont,
between Torino and Milano. Used to be an important Jewish center.
Famous for wine.

It was reported that a red over white flag was used by the
Marchisate of Monferrato.
