Overview

The FIVB is the governing body responsible for all forms of Volleyball on a global level. Working closely with national federations and private enterprises the FIVB aims to develop Volleyball as a major world media and entertainment sport through world-class planning and organisation of competitions, marketing and development activities. The FIVB is part of the Olympic Movement, contributing to the success of the Olympic Games. The FIVB was founded in Paris, France in 1947, and its headquarters are located in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Currently, there are 220 national associations affiliated with FIVB. There are five continetal confederations operating in close coordination with FIVB.

This is the flag used by the FIVB from 2004 to 2010, this flag was replaced by the current one adopted in Rome during the congress in September 10, 2010.
The flag is proportioned 4:7, the colors are:
Blue pantone 285 C
Blue pantone 2995 C 33%
Black pantone 426 C
Grey Pantone cool grey 5 C
