At the opening ceremony of the FIBA under-19 world basketball championships,
being held in Auckland, NZ, was a traditional opening march-past of the 16
nations' flags, starting with the flag of FIBA, the world governing body of
basketball. I obtained a screenshot.
The intriguing thing about this flag, as paraded, is that it seems to be a
vertically hanging flag, at least as far as the lettering and logo are
concerned.
The flag features the logo of FIBA, showing five hands in the
colours of the Olympic rings (but with black replaced by grey) encircling a
basketball, on a black background (this logo is shown at the top of the FIBA
official website at http://www.fiba.com/).
The flag also has (capital, sans-serif) letters FIBA. There is further small
writing along the fly, which looks like it is FIBA's motto "We Are Basketball".

There are 208 nations affiliated with the Fédération Internationale de
Basketball, founded in July of 1932 on the 18th. There flag is a white
background with the logo in blue. The flag was adopted on the date of
foundation.
I note that the flag itself claims to be 'FIBA' - I assume this
therefore is a federation of basketball associations?
