Presentation of Orle

The municipality of Orle (1,975 inhabitants in 2011) was estabiished in 1996, separating from Zagreb. The municipality is made of the villages of Orle (107 inh.), Bukevje (425 inh.), Čret Posavski (91 inh.), Drnek (308 inh.), Obed (51 inh.), Ruč (223 inh.), Stružec Posavski (75 inh.), Suša (113 inh.),Veleševec (430 inh.), and Vrbovo Posavsko (152 inh.),

Flag of Orle

The municipality uses a new flag, blue with a new coat of arms somewhat redesigned in line with Croatian municipal heraldry, with a yellow edge on the shield

The coat of arms is divided per fess. The upper part is azure (light) blue, with a mullet and crescent or in the respective cantons. The lower part is on a chevron argent a horse head proper harnessed or.

The flag and arms of Orle are prescribed in Article 5 of the Municipality Statutes Statut (Općine Orle), adopted on 22 November 2001 by the Municipality Assembly and published on 30 November 2011 in the County official gazette Glasnik Zagrebačke županije, No. 22.

The flag is described as in proportions 2:1, blue with the coat of arms in the center.

The former symbols of Orle were prescribed by Decision Odluka o grbu i zastavi Općine Orle, adopted on 22 November 1996 by the Municipality Assembly and published on 12 December 1996 in Glasnik Zagrebačke županije, No. 18.

The flag is divided blue-yellow-blue (1:2:1), with the coat of arms set in the upper half (of a vertical flag). The same flag be used for horizontal hoisting, that is, without any rotation of the coat of arms.
The coat of arms was similar, but with the colours of the two bottom chevrons inverted.
