Presentation of Gornja Vrba

The municipality of Gornja Vrba (2,512 inhabitants in 2011) is located due east of Slavonski Brod. The municipality is made of the two villages of Donja Vrba (745 inh.) and Gornja Vrba (1,814 inh.). Many of the inhabitants are working in neighbouring Slavonski Brod, but the suburban municipality recently developed fast due to many companies building their installations there.

Flag of Gornja Vrba

The symbols of Gornja Vrba are prescribed by Decision Odluka o grbu i zastavi općine Gornja Vrba, adopted on 20 January 2009 by the Municipality Assembly and published on 3 March 2009 in the County official gazette Službeni vjesnik Brodsko-posavske županije, No. 1.
The symbols are described in Articles 4-6 of the Municipality Statutes Statut općine Gornja Vrba, adopted on 7 July 2009 by the Municipality Assembly and published on 23 July 2009 in Službeni vjesnik Brodsko-posavske županije, No. 9.

The symbols were designed by the Heraldic Art d.o.o. company from Rijeka.

The flag is in proportions 1:2, red with the coat of arms, bordered yellow, in the middle.

The coat of arms is described as "In a rectangular shield per pale gules and argent overall a willow tree eradicated counterchanged".
