Presentation of Báscones de Ojeda

The municipality of Báscones de Ojeda (173 inhabitants in 2010; 1,856 ha)) is located 100 km from Palencia
Báscones de Ojeda was probably named for Basque colonists who resettled the place in the 9th century. The village was ruled by the San Andrés de Arroyo monastery and the Dukes of Frías.

Symbols of Báscones de Ojeda

The symbols of Báscones de Ojeda were unveiled on 24 August 2009 during the St. Bartolomew festival (El Norte de Castilla, 25 August 2009).
There is no Decree related to the municipal symbols in the official gazette of Castilla y León,

The flag (image) is horizontally divided blue-red-green-crimson red with a yellow triangle placed along the hoist and charged with the municipal coat of arms.
