Descrirption of flag:
Its ratio is 3:5. It's a yellow (FIAV-code Y+) over black horizontal bicolour superimposed by the coat of arms in the centre of the flag.

Coat of Arms

Description of coat of arms:
The shield is divided per fess. Above are two blue crossed shelves ending in horseheads in a golden(=yellow) field. Below in a black field is a silver (=white) round shield. According to a newer interpretation it is a brake disc with one hole in the centre and 16 holes at the edge and three arcy lines perhaps symbolizing that the disc is in motion. The allusion to the railway running through Stelle, seems to be however really doubtful.
Meaning:
The crossed heads, being on top of the gables of local farmhouses, are symbolizing the rural environment of the municipality. The shield (disc) is symbolizing that the area was populated for a very long time.

Other Coat of Arms

Description of coat of arms:
The shield type is that one, used by Max Reinhardt within the books of Stadler. The shield is divided per fess. Above in a golden (=yellow) field are two black crossed horse's heads. Below in a black field is a golden (yellow) round shield.
This version can be seen in several sources in the web. I spotted this version on a flag in Stelle on 5 August 2010. About the meaning the coat of arms described above.

It is a green over white horizontal bicolour. The coat of arms is in the centre of the flag.

Ashausen Coat of Arms

Description of coat of arms:
The shield is divided per fess. Above are two silver (=white) plough shares ordered horizontally, belove is a black urn in a silver (=white) field.
Meaning:
According to source the plough shares are symbolizing agriculture, the urn is symbolizing archaeological discoveries in the area. They are considered being an evidence of the existence of prehistorical settlements.
