Biberach Coat of Arms

In a green shield is a silver (= white) linden tree. In the base is a beaver of the same colour eating away at a piece of stem.
Meaning:
The village was part the Imperial City Zell am Harmersbach, became a dominion of Baden in 1803 and became then an independent municipality. During the 19th century the municipality used a stamp displaying a fir tree. The version of 1830 might have also shown a broadleaf. The draft from 1901, made by the General State Archive, displayed a linden tree and a beaver on demand of the municipality. Though the draft had been refused by the local council, it was used since then on seals. After new consultations in 1969 the tinctures were given by the minister of interior. The beaver was considered to be a canting element. The name of the village was probably derived from ""eaver" and the old German word "aha" (= water).

Banner and coat of arms were approved on 30 October 1969 by Minister of Interior of Baden-Württemberg, published in GABl 800/1970. According to the approval the banner should be white - green however.
