Description of current flag:
The flag's ratio is 3:5. It is a red over yellow horizontal bicolour with the coat of arms shifted to the hoist.

Coat of arms

Description of coat of arms:
The shield is divided per fess. The 1st field shows a red embattled castle with two embattled towers in a golden(=yellow) field. The 2nd field is red divided by a golden(=yellow) saltire with a golden(=yellow) ball in each quarter.
Meaning:
According to source the castle is symbolizing Reineberg castle, a fortress of the bishops of Minden since 13th century. The saltire with balls is taken from the arms of died out kin of Scloen called Tribbe, the owners of Husen estate since the 14th century.
