The flag's ratio is 3:5. It is a blue - yellow - blue vertical triband with ratio 1:2:1. The coat of arms is in the middle of the central stripe.

Description of coat of arms:
The blue shield is divided by a golden (= yellow) wavy bend. Upon the sinister chief point and dexter base point is a golden (=yellow) willow tree.
Meaning:
The wavy bend is symbolizing Rotbäk creek, the willows are the typical trees and the colours blue and golden are alluding to the Lordship of Rostock.
