Coat of arms of Bosnian Podrinje Canton - Image by Željko Heimer, 9 July 2005
The coat of arms is in the shape of a medieval Bosnian shield, vertically divided into yellow with three five-pointed voided stars and blue with a yellow fleur-de-lis above five yellow wavy stripes. The wavy lines represent river Drina. The yellow outline fo the shield is said to represent the Goražde District from the 14th century.

Flag and arms of Bosnian Podrinje Canton, 1997-2001 - Images by Željko Heimer, 18 March 2002
The first symbols of Bosnian Podrinje Canton are prescribed in Law Zakon o grbu i zastavi Bosanko-podrinjskog kantona GoraŽde, adopted on 25 April 1997 by the Canton Assembly and published in August 1997 in the Canton official gazette Službene novine Bosansko-podrinjskog kantona Goražde, No. 7.
The flag, in proportions 3:5, is horizontally divided green-white with the coat of arms in the middle.
The coat of arms is obviously based on the previous coat of arms of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the well known fleur-de-lis coat of arms. The golden ornament in the white bend is, I guess, nothing more than an ornament, though it might be based on the representation of the historical fleur-de-lis arms in some of the famous armorials. The three flowers in the lower part are, I guess, again from some historical source, the lilies made more naturally. The helmet issuing from the bend might be from the same period (12th century?).
