Description of arms (German): In Blau eine goldene Spitze mit einer blauen Flachsblüte. [1]
Blazoning of arms (English): Azure, a pile Or charged with a flax flower Azure.

Description of flag: two stripes, blue-yellow, with coat-of-arms [1], sometimes with text in white fields at the top and bottom of the flag [2]

In addition to a rather normal flag I had spotted a version with added text in two fields above and below the 
stripes. The text reads "UNSER DORF" (i.e. our village) and "AXAMS IN TIROL"; the font is rather unusual, namely Busorama Bold. This flag was not hoisted alone, but together with similar flags for the twin municipalities Rohrbach in der Pfalz and Naturns in Südtirol. Obviously, the symbols alone would not suffice to identify the three flags to the observer, so they decided to add the respective text.
