Background

The South African Network for Women in Transport (SANWIT) was formed in 2005 and finalised its constitution in 2007.   It was born out of a need to break down the existing barriers for entry into the sector and to demystify existing myths.  The focus is to target all female entrepreneurs in the transportation sector in South Africa and strengthen the role of women in transport by ensuring that the sector affords women equal opportunities for growth.
