Coat of arms

Shield Or with base wavy of Azure and Argent, an eagle volant Sable garnished Argent, a grapevine Purpure leaved Vert at dexter, a pair of corn cobs Purple (source says "Gules") leaved Vert at sinister. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "AGUIAR DE SOUSA".
Meaning:
The eagle (Port.: aguia) is canting.
