Shield Or with base wavy of Azure and Argent, crowned by a dam Argent masoned Sable fixed at flanks by two mountains Sable, in chief a cork oaks Vert fruited Or peeled and eradicated Gules, flanked by two grain ears Vert. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "SANTA CLARA-A-VELHA".

It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain red field.

Shield Or, a branch of strawberry tree Vert fruited Gules and a branch of Cork Oak Vert acorned Argent their thick ends per saltire and in chief a sheaf of wheat Or tied Azure and in base a millstone Gules. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "PEREIRAS - GARE".
Meaning:
The arms are not canting, as "pereiras" (pl. of "pereira") means "pear tree", and "gare" means "railway station".
