Introduction

In the American animated film WALL•E from 2008, a megacorporation called Buy n Large Corporation (BnL) entices people to mass consumerism, thus converting Earth into a wasteland, no longer apt for life. The company evacuates Earth's population in fully automated starliners in 2105, leaving behind an army of trash compactor Waste Allocation Load Lifter – Earth Class "WALL-E" robots to clean the planet.
