Presentation of Valverde-Enrique

The municipality of Valverde-Enrique (195 inhabitants in 2010; 3,590 ha) is located in the southeast of León Province, 40 km of León. The municipality is made of the villages of Valverde-Enrique (capital), Castrovega de Valmadrigal (98 inh.) and La Veguellina.

Symbols of Valverde-Enrique

The flag and arms of Valverde-Enrique are prescribed by a Decree adopted on 2 March 2007 by the Municipal Council, signed on 5 March 2007 by the Mayor, and published on 16 March 2007 in the official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 54, p. 5,965 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:

Flag: Rectangular flag, with proportions 2:3, red with a yellow crozier and a white triangle charged with blue waves with vertices in the upper and lower hoist and in the middle of the flag.
Coat of arms: Per pale, 1. Gules a crozier or, 2. Vert a holly oak eradicated or, grafted in chief waves argent and azure. The shield surmounted with a Royal crown closed.
