Presentation of Pozuelo del Páramo

The municipality of Pozuelo del Páramo (519 inhabitants in 2010; 3,623 ha) is located in the south of León Province, on the border with Zamora Province, 60 km of León. The municipality is made of the villages of Pozuelo del Páramo (capital), Altobar de la Encomienda and Saludes de Castroponce.

Symbols of Pozuelo del Páramo

The flag and arms of Pozuelo del Páramo are prescribed by a Decree adopted on 16 September 2001 by the Municipal Council, signed on 6 February 2002 by the Mayor, and published on 9 May 2002 in the official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 87, p. 6,163 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:

Flag: Rectangular flag with proportions 2:3, made of three equal vertical stripes, yellow at hoist, red in the middle and green at fly.
Coat of arms: Per pale, 1. Or a mound vert, 2. Vert the upper part of a church tower argent, grafted in base gules a well [pozo] argent masoned sable. The shield surmounted by a Royal crown closed.
