I just went to see the movie Fearless with Jet Li which tells (quite loosely apparently) the life of Huo Yuanjia, founder of the Chin Woo Athletic Association.
A scene of the founding of the association (around 1910) show the included flag. It is divided yellow-red-blue with all 3 section starting at the upper hoist and radiating outward so that the blue occupy half the flag and the other 2 colours roughly 1/4 each.
I have been unable to find this flag online but have found 2 others (a LOB and a white flag with stars) both of which feature the same colours.
Three hypotheses regarding this flag:

  • 1- the original flag, no longer use
  • 2- original flag, still use but only in china
  • 3- the flag is a figment of the set designer's imagination

while number 3 is always possible, the fact that the logo and other flags feature the same colours as well as the fact that the fact is presented in such a way as to imply that the viewer should recognise it (the Chinese one at least) makes me think it might be real.
