The Flag

On October, 20, 2005 by Decree number 490 by the President of the Republic of Belarus adopted new symbols in the Region of Gomel (or the Gomel Voblast`) and including - the coat of arms and a flag of Retchitsa City and Rechitsa County (Rayon). The flag is white, 1:2. In centre of avers of cloth (only on avers!) is the coat of arms. The coat of arms is a silver baroque shield. On a shield is pink banner with tail of a swallow. On pink banner is on a white horse knight in a silver armour with a naked sword in the right hand and a shield with a red double cross in left hand.

The rayon has one Town Council (Town of Vasilevichi), one Settlement Council (Urban Settlement of Zarech'e) and 17 Village Councils: Babichskiy, Belobolotskiy, Borshchevskiy, Vyshemirskiy, Glybovskiy, Zhmurovskiy, Zaspenskiy, Zakhodovskiy, Zashcheb'evskiy, Komsomol'skiy, Korovatichskiy, Liskovskiy, Ozershchinskiy, Peresvyatovskiy, Rovenskoslobodskiy, Soltanovskiy and Kholmechskiy village council. Only Town of Vasilevichi has coat of arms and flag adopted on 27.09.2001.
