Flag

Located in Nara City Nara Prefecture and established in 1964. The university flag has red background with a white emblem and horizontally written white kanji university name. When Tezukayama Gakuen opened its old junior high school in 1941 at a new school site near today's Ayameike Station, the school emblem was adopted with a pine leaf, pinecone, and the Chinese character 帝 the initial of the university in reference to the beautiful red pine forest surroundings. It symbolizes the strength of the red pine tree, its eternal nature to withstand wind and snow, its growth and fruition, and the ideals of perfection and completion represented by the circle. The university emblem was reviewed in 2000, and the school emblem was adopted as the university emblem.
