Located in Fukuroi City Shizuoka Prefecture and established in 1991. The embroidered ceremonial flag has dark red background with a gold-colored logo mark and gold-colored English initials university name horizontally written in gold fringe. The university flag has white background with a dark red logo mark and the university name in black kanji horizontally written. The motif of the logo mark is the initial "S" of Shizuoka University of Science and Technology, which is also the "S" of "School," "Science," and "Society. The image represents the strong and flexible contribution of Shizuoka as an educational and research institution to Japan, Asia, and the world, as well as the challenge and flight into the future.
