Located in Chuo City Tokyo and established in 1964. The embroidery ceremonial hanging flag has sky-blue background with a black, yellow and sky blue emblem and gold kanji university name written horizontally in gold fringe. The university flag has white background with a black, yellow, sky blue emblem and horizontally written blue green English and Kanji university name. Asklepios, a Greek historical figure who was a son of Apollo and Koronis, he was taught medicine and herbalism by Centaurus and Chiron, and became a doctor. Later, he was idolized and even deified and worshipped as the "God of Healing”. Temples of Asklepios were built all over Greece, and it was said that if a sick person was brought to these temples and allowed to stay there, he would be cured. Asklepios was respected by all as an old man of mercy and a noble man. He always carried a long staff, and this staff had a snake, the sacred animal of Asklepios, coiled around it. The snake was believed to have mystical and healing powers. This is the motif of the university emblem.
