Flag

Located in Kawasaki City Kanagawa Prefecture and established in 1971. The embroidered ceremonial flag has sky blue background with a gold and silver emblem and horizontally written silver kanji university name in gold fringe. The university emblem is kanji letters 医大"Medical University" in yellow letters on a blue circle. The circle on the emblem represents "harmony," the name of the university in gold to give it "brilliance," the blue inside, and the six arched lines symbolizing the five continents, which represents the university's founding philosophy of training world-class doctors and their human development.
