Flag

Located in Zentsuji City Kagawa Prefecture and established in 1962. The university flag has white background with a red, gold and black emblem in the center. The letters "S and G" in the center of the emblem represent the fusion and circulation of the initials of Shikoku Gakuin University, advocating "life" from the birth of new symbols, learning at the university, and the generation of knowledge. The words surrounding the symbol are from Matthew 5:13, Vos estis sal terrae "Ye are the salt of the earth," which is also the motto of the university. The shape of these letters is reminiscent of the earth and expresses the expansion of the world. The plants at the base of the letters symbolize a pair of trees of life sprouting strongly from Shikoku Gakuin University. The emblem designer is Kazuki Maeda, professor (former dean) of the Faculty of Art and Design, University of Toyama.
