It is a white swallow tail pennant divided by a red saltire. In the canton is a 4-stripes flag divided by alternating white and red horizontal stripes. There are black capital letters and numbers in the white fields: "M"(top), "R"(hoist), "V"(fly) and "1878"(bottom/slightly smaller).

In the canton are red figures of the city's coat of arms.
